Obsessed with Love Island?
We’ve got the low-down on where Love Island is filmed, with a few suggestions of nearby love-nests for your own romantic getaway. We’ve all been glued to the antics of the islanders for the past month but as the series runs into its final few weeks, we’ve got the lowdown on the island itself, where the show is filmed and how you can get yourself there this summer!
Where is it filmed?
The series is set in sunny Majorca – the biggest of the Balearic Islands and home to sweeping ribbons of sand, turquoise waters and tropical greenery. The famous Love Island villa is located in Ses Salines, a pretty town in the south-east region of the island, which is known for its stylish shops and bars, romantic coves and quaint fishing villages. If you want to visit Ses Salines, it’s just 30 minutes from the resort of Cala d’Or.
Can you visit the Love Island villa?
Even though the villa boasts the biggest private pool in the Balearics, unfortunately, you can’t stay there. It belongs to a French businessman, who had it built to replicate his other property in France and isn’t available to rent. However, we have a fancy collection of luxury holidays, and you can take your pick from exclusive island resorts to stylish adults-only retreats.
Catch Love Island on Virgin Media each night and browse our holidays to Majorca in the meantime. Or, if you fancy being swept off your feet by another Balearic beauty, see which one is best for you.
