5 Essential European Hen Destinations

Although Ireland has greatly improved its Hen-Party game over recent years with weekend packages including top class accommodation, fantastic dinners and delicious cocktail classes, sometimes we just like to use the excuse of a Hen Party to go abroad for a well deserved weekend away.


We have put together a list of 5 amazing destinations within Europe for your next Hen-Party.


1. Liverpool

With a flight time of only 55 minutes you can be in Liverpool city center in time for a prosecco filled brunch with the girls. The nightlife in Liverpool is famous for its trendy bars and clubs along with its delicious cocktail scene. Daytime activities are numerous with fun options from afternoon Drag shows to nude drawing lessons and Spice Girl dance classes. You won't be short on the fun factor in Liverpool.



2. Edinburgh

Another easy to reach destination from Ireland is Edinburgh with a flight time of 1h 10m. Known for its beauty and culture its a fantastic city to explore by foot but once that has been done and you want to move on to some more hen-like activities then there is plenty to choose from. Sparkling afternoon tea, Vintage Bus afternoon tea tours and boozy cocktail classes are just a few options to choose from. With its trendy bars and buzzing nightclubs you can party away until the wee hours of the morning!


3. Barcelona

With its gorgeous weather, long sandy beaches, luxury spas, world class shopping and teeming nightlife Barcelona ticks all the right boxes for a hen weekend. Daytime can be spent doing Flamenco dance classes, boozy boat tours and Cava tasting classes while at nighttime, delicious cuisine and VIP bar crawls will keep you entertained until the early hours. 4. Lisbon

Lisbon is another fantastic warm weather destination for a hen weekend. The city is broken up into quarters, each with its own party scene and unique vibe. Party boats, cocktail making classes and wine tasting classes will keep you busy during the day, however if you want to enjoy some downtime in the sun then a 20 minute train ride will have you relaxing on a golden sand beach. Flight time from Dublin is 2h 45m.



5. Budapest

A little further afield is Budapest but don't let the 2h 50m flight time put you off visiting. The city is famous for its natural Thermal Baths where you can easily spend your day soaking in the gorgeous hot springs.


The famous Budapest ruin bars are heaving at night with delicious local beers and fantastic cocktails on offer.
